Principles of Movement

This collection of paintings was created while watching a class on principles of movement in yoga. At the time, due to acute injury and chronic illness, my movement was restricted and I could not use my right hand to make art. Created with my left hand, these paintings explore the energy flows and geometry of movement at a time that I was limited to somatic practices. Once again, art grants me continued interchange with the world when disability halts my accustomed ways of being.
